   If you apply pesticides or herbicides on property of another as part of landscaping services, you must be licensed as a Commercial Applicator by the Division of Pesticide Control within the NH Department of Agriculture, Markets and Food. Submit a complete license and exam application, then schedule the written exam for your category with the Division at 603-271-3694. Licensees recertify by accruing approved education credits over a five-year period.

   Concord does not require a general business license, and the City Clerk does not run a business-licensing program (the Clerk handles dog licensing, vital records and elections). 2. Landscaping — No Concord or County Contractor Registration

   Concord does not register landscaping contractors, and New Hampshire counties have no business-permitting function at all, so no Merrimack County registration exists. The City's published permit list covers only Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Fire Prevention, Change of Occupancy and Demolition permits. Ordinary permits still apply to regulated work — for example a plumbing permit for irrigation or backflow-preventer installation — and anyone applying pesticides on another person's property must hold a state Commercial Applicator license.
