Alaska Business Name (DBA) Registration
If you operate under a name other than your legal or registered entity name, the DBA name is carried on your Alaska business license — one business license covers one DBA name, so a second trade name requires a second $50 business license from the Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing. Separately and optionally, you may file a Business Name Registration (form 08-557) under AS 10.35 to claim exclusive rights to that name for five years; it requires a current Alaska business license in the identical name. Alaska has no Secretary of State and no municipal or borough DBA filing.
