Wisconsin requires real estate salesperson applicants to satisfy the pre-credential education requirement (72 hours of approved pre-licensing education, or approved academic equivalent), pass the Wisconsin Real Estate Salesperson Examination - administered by Pearson VUE, not PSI - and apply to DSPS. Applications are filed at license.wi.gov. The salesperson must work under a licensed Wisconsin broker.
Official government source$75 DSPS credential fee (renewal $75, due 12/14 of each even-numbered year; $100 with late fee). The examination fee is set by Pearson VUE - DSPS directs applicants to Pearson VUE at (888) 204-6284 for current exam fees. Pre-licensing education is priced by private approved schools. Not published by DSPS - initial applications are filed at license.wi.gov.

Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance - a brokerage requirement, not a Wisconsin one
Wisconsin does not require real estate salespersons to carry E&O. DSPS's Real Estate Salesperson credential requirements do not include it, and there is no state-run E&O program of the kind a few other states operate. The requirement comes from your sponsoring broker: Wisconsin brokerages either add you to the firm's policy or require you to show your own before you can take listings, and the brokerage sets the limit. Ask which arrangement your broker uses before buying a separate policy.
Official government sourceNo state-set price. E&O is quoted individually by private carriers and Wisconsin publishes no schedule; being added to your broker's existing policy is often free or a small per-agent charge. The state cost you will actually pay is the DSPS Real Estate Salesperson credential renewal, $75 every two years (due 12/14 of even-numbered years, $100 if late). Before your first transaction - the deadline is set by your broker's onboarding, not by DSPS.
