4. San Diego Home Occupation Rules (no permit for compliant home businesses)

   The City of San Diego does not issue home occupation permits. Basing a mobile car wash business at your residence is allowed by right if it meets the home-occupation standards of San Diego Municipal Code section 141.0308 - limits include no exterior evidence of the business (signage), restrictions on commercial vehicles and outdoor storage, and no customer visits.
