San Antonio / Bexar County Requirements
Bexar County Assumed Name Certificate (DBA)
If you operate your photography business under any name other than your legal personal name (e.g., 'SA Photography Co.' instead of your full legal name), you must file an Assumed Name Certificate with the Bexar County Clerk. File in person at the Paul Elizondo Tower, 101 W. Nueva, Suite B110, or at a Records on the Run location. Valid for up to 10 years.
City of San Antonio Film and Photography Permit (Public Property)
Required for commercial photography on City of San Antonio public property, including parks, the River Walk, and city streets. Permits are managed by the City of San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation and Parks and Recreation Department depending on the location. Studio and private-venue shoots do not require a city permit.
Texas State Requirements
Texas Sales Tax Permit
