Las Vegas / Clark County Requirements

Required for all mobile food units operating in Clark County, including Las Vegas. Issued by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD). Class A permits cover full food preparation; Class B covers limited prep; Class C covers prepackaged food only. A pre-opening inspection is required, and a licensed commissary must be designated.
Clark County Business License
Required for all businesses operating in unincorporated Clark County. Issued by Clark County Business License Division. If operating primarily within Las Vegas city limits, you may need both a Clark County and City of Las Vegas business license.
City of Las Vegas Business License
Required for businesses operating within the City of Las Vegas municipal boundaries. Separate from the Clark County license. Most food trucks serving downtown or city streets need this license.
Commissary Agreement
SNHD requires all mobile food establishments to designate and operate from an approved licensed commissary for food storage, preparation, and equipment cleaning. A signed commissary agreement must be submitted with the permit application.
